Noosa
If you’re new to surfing then Noosa is the perfect place to dip your toe into the surfing scene with surf schools offering lessons year-round. Little Cove is a beautiful protected beach surrounded by trees and is a great spot for beginners and longboarders. For more experienced surfers, take the coastal walking track through the National Park to a local favourite, Tea Tree Bay. You will need to keep an eye out for rocks however in the right conditions you can catch some awesome waves, plus the gorgeous scenery and chance of spotting dolphins and turtles make it well worth a visit.

Cabarita Beach
Catch a wave like the pros at Cabarita Beach, the location of the Tweed Coast Pro event. Cabarita is a great choice for consistent swell in all tides and offers more protection from the northerly winds than most beaches in the area. It is an ideal spot for those still learning while more experienced surfers can enjoy some prime surfing at the point. The Main Beach at Nambucca Heads is a great family hang out with smaller, beginner-friendly waves and the Surf Club nearby to grab a meal after some time in the water. Experienced surfers can catch some good waves during larger swells, particularly throughout winter.
